MQA-CD plays back on all CD players. When a conventional CD player is connected to an MQA-enabled device, the CD will reveal the original master quality.
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that reveals every detail of the original master recording.
Regular CD Player
As a result of the MQA encoding process, MQA-CDs benefit from increased timing precision and de- blurring when played on any device. (This playback mode is called “Legacy” and is one of the key features of MQA, where all listeners will hear audio – irrespective of the playback decoder functionality).
MQA-Enabled CD Player
These CD players can recognise an MQA-CD. The built-in MQA decoder will automatically restore the high-resolution signal heard in the studio and confirm it, using the authentication signatures.
MQA-enabled CD players include Oppo UDP-205, Esoteric Grandioso K1x, Triode TRV-CD65E and Meridian 808v6 with more being released to market each quarter.
MQA-CD ripping
Consumers may want to rip MQA-CDs for playback on a range of devices. As described in section 7.2.3, we recommend using the MQA Tag Restorer application to restore the metadata tags required by some MQA-enabled devices.

about
SONGBIRD REVISITED - Like a deer still rubbing the felt off his antlers, this is easily the oldest composition on the Meadow Rock album. It was written in the iso-booth of the great Matchless Guitar Amplifier workshop in Westwood, CA. where I worked at the time. The centerpiece of the arrangement is a rather inspired duel slide guitar solo played by guitarist/engineer Jason Soda and myself with both guitars going through a big Leslie speaker. Drums and guitar solos were recorded at Jason’s Palomino Sound Studio, all other overdubs were done at my Mountain Sounds Recorders.
lyrics
SONGBIRD REVISITED
My songbird, my sweet songbird
What shall we play today
You find me, In sweet peace and time
And welcome me to stay
You come to my window, sing for me
And oh to touch you,
But I’d better just leave you be
Though I know you’re really not mine I will always think of you this way
Because everybody loves my songbird, and the song she plays
Though I know you’re really not mine I will always think of you this way
Because everybody loves my songbird, and the song she plays

If Wooden Shjips traded their sails for a prairie schooner, this is what you might hear them playing around the campfire at night on the Great Plains: homespun country-rock with a hint of psychedelia. Wonderful stuff, from start to finish. neu-mann

Entire album is excellent. As is the rest of the catalog. Go back to 1970...take the Dead and Floyd and roll them up. Yet completely different.
Just plain old GOOD MUSIC. Ed Fransko
