MQA-CD plays back on all CD players. When a conventional CD player is connected to an MQA-enabled device, the CD will reveal the original master quality.
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that reveals every detail of the original master recording.
Regular CD Player
As a result of the MQA encoding process, MQA-CDs benefit from increased timing precision and de- blurring when played on any device. (This playback mode is called “Legacy” and is one of the key features of MQA, where all listeners will hear audio – irrespective of the playback decoder functionality).
MQA-Enabled CD Player
These CD players can recognise an MQA-CD. The built-in MQA decoder will automatically restore the high-resolution signal heard in the studio and confirm it, using the authentication signatures.
MQA-enabled CD players include Oppo UDP-205, Esoteric Grandioso K1x, Triode TRV-CD65E and Meridian 808v6 with more being released to market each quarter.
MQA-CD ripping
Consumers may want to rip MQA-CDs for playback on a range of devices. As described in section 7.2.3, we recommend using the MQA Tag Restorer application to restore the metadata tags required by some MQA-enabled devices.

about
MORNING LIGHT - Written by my friend and bandmate Josh Schwartz, who succumbed to ALS in 2017. We played this song many times as the band Painted Hills, and an original version recorded by Beachwood Sparks has just been recently released as well. My version of the song has an acoustic folk-rock arrangement. Justin Smith, also a Josh Schwartz band alumni, put the distinctive drum parts down. Rob Douglas plays acoustic bass. The song was originally recorded as a gift for Josh on the occasion of his birthday, special thanks must go to Rob for prompting me to work on this song again and consider it for the album, It has become a personal highlight. Even more special thanks must go to Josh’s loved ones who gave their blessings, Denise and Allison.
lyrics
MORNING LIGHT (BY JOSH SCHWARTZ)
Sometimes I read a picture like a book, then I close my eyes and take a second look
The images take on a strange new life, colors flying in the moonlit night
One time I swear I saw your face, looking down from outer space
I jumped so high I touched the sky, but I couldn’t get to you this time
Until the next time that I try don’t be scared of the morning
Brings a new day when the feeling’s right
Don’t be scared of morning light
Brings a new day when the feeling’s right
Don’t be scared of morning light
Don’t be scared of morning light
Brings a new day, brings a new day
Brings a new day, brings a new day
I save my smiles for strangers ‘caus they don’t know my name
They know that I’m a singer, but they don’t know what I sing
So I don’t let them see me, ‘caus I am often seen
Hiding from the morning light, wide awake lost in a dream
I jumped so high I touched the sky, but I couldn’t get to you this time
Until the next time that I try don’t be scared of the morning
Brings a new day when the feeling’s right
Don’t be scared of morning light
Brings a new day when the feeling’s right
Don’t be scared of morning light
Don’t be scared of morning light
Brings a new day, brings a new day
Brings a new day, brings a new day

If Wooden Shjips traded their sails for a prairie schooner, this is what you might hear them playing around the campfire at night on the Great Plains: homespun country-rock with a hint of psychedelia. Wonderful stuff, from start to finish. neu-mann
Entire album is excellent. As is the rest of the catalog. Go back to 1970...take the Dead and Floyd and roll them up. Yet completely different.
Just plain old GOOD MUSIC. Ed Fransko
